How the MCRP Benefits Customers
Building this project will improve electric service for nearly 214,000 JCP&L customers in Monmouth County:
- Modern technologies will deliver real-time information about system conditions so we can better monitor and more quickly respond to customer power needs.
- The project will provide an extra layer of reliability to help reduce the length and frequency of service disruptions.
- PJM Interconnection, the regional transmission organization that coordinates the movement of electricity and oversees reliability in all or part of 13 states and the District of Columbia, has identified this transmission line as necessary, and it should be built to continue to provide JCP&L customers with dependable electric service.
