Navesink Harbor & Downtown Red Bank
MCRP in Red Bank
In addition to significant population growth, Red Bank has experienced impressive new property development and infrastructure expansion over the last several decades. This development includes some popular additions to the community, such as the Galleria, West Side Lofts, Triumph Brewery and Two River Community Theater.
While this growth has brought many new businesses and jobs into the community, it has also increased demand for electricity. At JCP&L, it’s our job to make sure our customers in Red Bank have the power they need when they need it. That is why the Monmouth County Reliability Project is so important – this project will help reduce the length and frequency of service disruptions while delivering the dependable power our customers need.
The proposed MCRP route will start at the substation in Aberdeen, and will follow the New Jersey Transit corridor right-of-way through Hazlet, Holmdel, and Middleton before ending at the substation in Red Bank. The line will enter Middletown at the township border at South Laurel Avenue, follow the railroad line to the Taylor Lane Substation and continue on to Red Bank.
