Aberdeen Train Station
MCRP in Aberdeen
A drive along any main street or highway in Aberdeen reveals the impact of population growth in the township, with significant new construction taking place over the last 30 years. The expansion of the TD Bank and CVS Plaza on Route 34 and the Aberdeen Pavilion and Romeo Plaza along Route 35 are just a few of the new retail centers that have joined the substantial residential projects between County Road and Riverdale Drive.
While this growth has brought many new businesses and jobs into the community, it also has increased demand for electricity. At JCP&L, it’s our job to make sure our customers in Aberdeen have the power they need when they need it. That’s why the Monmouth County Reliability Project is so important – this project will help reduce the length and frequency of service disruptions while delivering the dependable power our customers need.
The proposed MCRP route will start at the substation in Aberdeen and will follow the New Jersey Transit corridor right-of-way through Hazlet, Holmdel, and Middleton before ending at the substation in Red Bank.
